Entrepreneurship Training

Practical business fundamentals — from idea validation to running a first ledger.

Beneficiaries in a hands-on bag-making training session

About This Program

Our flagship entrepreneurship track is delivered in partnership with Mac Handles, a reputable leather bag-making company, through fully sponsored training in leather bag making. Beneficiaries learn a real, sellable craft from working professionals — not a classroom simulation — alongside the business fundamentals needed to turn that craft into income.

Objectives

  • Teach a practical, income-generating craft (leather bag making) from experienced instructors
  • Cover business fundamentals: costing, pricing, and basic bookkeeping
  • Build confidence to sell and price finished work fairly
  • Prepare top performers for startup capital support

Outcomes

  • Fully sponsored training — no cost to beneficiaries
  • Graduates producing and selling their own handmade bags
  • Direct feedback loop with instructors throughout the program

I started with a simple small tote bag, and today, I'm creating beautifully structured bags. It hasn't been perfect, but every mistake, practice, and new design has helped me grow. I'm proud of this journey and excited for what's next.
